| Several join National Conference | | |

BANIHAL, Mar 6: A large number of political workers from various parties joined National Conference (NC) here today. On the occasion, Mohammad Shafi Bohru, a prominent worker of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) also joined NC along with his supporters in presence of National Conference leader and District Secretary Sajjad Shaheen in an impressive function. Speaking on the occasion, Sajjad Shaheen in his address welcomed the new entrants in the party and urged upon the party workers to work for the betterment of the people and strengthen the hands of young Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Several other party activists also spoke on the occasion and lauded Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his efforts to develop the state.
Among others who attended the function included NC Distt Vice President Mohd Afzal Wani, Distt President Labour Union Sajad Hussain Bhat, Distt Youth Vice President Shoket Dar, Manzoor Giri, Gujjar leader Ch Jamat Ali and Mohd Umar.
