| Stone pelting at Indo-Pak bus | | | AGENCIES New Delhi, Mar 6: Unidentified persons on Saturday pelted a stone at the Delhi-Lahore bus here but no one was injured. The incident was reported from near a monastery behind Kashmere Gate at around 6:30 am, minutes after the Delhi- Lahore bus, with 35 passengers on board, had embarked on its journey from Ambedkar terminal here to Attari on the Indian side. As it reached Kashmere Gate, a stone struck the window pane on the right side of the bus between seat no 17 and 18, a senior police official said. No one was injured in the incident. Soon after the incident, the bus was brought back to the terminal and a thorough search was conducted. Senior police officials also reached the spot and after extensive searches, the bus was cleared for the journey. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagarpreet Hooda said a case under IPC 427 (mischief causing damage) has been registered against unknown people. Sources said they suspect the involvement of some mischievous elements in the locality in the incident. "Investigations are on. We don't read too much into the incident. But we will continue with our probe to arrest the culprits," they said. The Delhi?Lahore Bus is a passenger bus service connecting Delhi with Lahore, via the border transit post at Wagah which was inaugurated on February 19, 1999.
