| Coalition nourishing its political interests: SDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 7: Terming the ruling National Conference government as 'failure', Socialist Democratic Party (SDP) has accused the government led government of misusing public and government money for nourishing their political interests while common man has been subjected to several hardships. "Omar Abdullah led regime has totally failed in the state and a superficial campaign is being carried out to influence masses," Darakshan Andrabi, SDP president told reporters. She alleged that the State is facing the worst-ever scarcity of ration, sugar and kerosene oil, but government is busy approving huge projects which have no direct link with the common masses. "Despite government's tall claims, the people of state in both urban and rural areas are witness to the worst situation. More than 40 per cent of the government ration stores are completely empty for the last so many months now," she alleged. She further alleged, "With the connivance of the government the millers are black-marketing the ration meant for common people. In remote and rural areas, a starvation type of situation has raised. It is quite shameful to see the propagators of e-governance not even bothering to look into the matter", Andrabi charged the government. The SDP president said when Omar took the reins of the state, he had publicly apologized for the mistakes done by his party and family in the past and vowed to work differently but is now following his legacy of "looting" the state and "misleading" public. She also lashed out at public representatives for converting Legislative Assembly as "fish market". "It is a big wastage of our precious time and money. For weeks, we witness our so-called representatives from treasury as well opposition benches accusing each other like uncivilized people. Public is of no importance and consideration to these exploiters. The only job they did was the hike in their salaries", she said.
