| NSF demanded Separate PSC for Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Mar 7: Taken a serious note of the selection list of the Lecturers in school and higher education department in which much preference has been given to the candidates belonging to the Kashmir regions. Vikas Sharma President National Secular Forum (NSF), while addressing the media persons said that meritorious candidates belonging to the Jammu who have qualified Ph.D, M.Phil, Net and Slet have not been given preference. He further said that in selection list of English lecturers out of total 79 (OPEN),only 15 are from jammu region and 64 are from valley, selection list of Chemistry lecturers out of total 51 (OPEN), only 20 are from jammu region and 31 are from valley, selection list of History lecturers out of total 50 (OPEN), only 18 are from jammu region and 32 are from Kashmir regions, selection list of Botany lecturers out of total 51 (OPEN), only 19 are from jammu region and 32 are from valley, selection list of Urdu lecturers in higher education department out of total 05 (OPEN), only 01 are from jammu region and 04 are from valley, selection list of Statistics lecturers out of total 11 (OPEN), only 03 are from jammu region and 08 are from Kashmir regions, , selection list of Economics lecturers out of total 43 (OPEN), only 13 are from jammu region and 30 are from Kashmir regions, , selection list of Dental Surgeon out of total 17, only 06 are from jammu region and 11 are from Kashmir regions,and same has happened in all selection lists of the lecturers in school education department. He said that besides selecting more candidates from Kashmir Valley there were also reports of corruption and nepotism being involved in the selection process.He demanded separated PSC for Jammu so that genuine candidates could be selected. He appealed the Chief Minister of the state to hold an enquiry in the selection list of the lecturers in all subjects.
