| Employees Federation calls for making 3-day strike a success | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 7: The leaders of Jammu Kashmir Employees Federation have appealed all the employees to remain united and observe three-day token strike from March 11 to 13 as called by the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC). Addressing a media persons here today, Pardeep Sharma said that sufficient time was given to government by the employees to settle their already agreed demands which was approved by the state cabinet on February 19, 2009 but the government miserably failed to fulfill the same. He alleged that government deliberately adopting dilly dallying approach towards the already agreed demands. The leaders further said that EJAC had served the ultimatum to the government to honour its commitment and implement its decision up to December 31, 2009 but the authorities have turned deaf ear towards the same. Sharma said that government had compelled the employees to adopt agitation path and come on the roads. The employees have been demanding releases of arrears of sixth pay commission, release of pending HRA and order for regularization all contractual employee. All the presidents and general secretaries of the affiliated units were present in the press conference.
