| Handa Education Trust greets women on Women's Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 7: Handa Education Trust and Tiny Tots Group of Schools have congratulated women all over the world on the eve of 'International Women's Day.' In a press statement, Veena Handa, chairperson Tiny Tots Group of Schools and Kulbushan Handa Education Trust said this day is a celebration of woman hood and a woman's undying spirit. "This is the 99th year that the International Women's day is being celebrated and ever since it started in 1911. The celebrations have increased and so has the importance and place of women all over the world. The process of women's emancipation is on, the thought and the process has started taking shape and the wheel is in motion for her better tomorrow," they said. "For long women have been oppr-essed, suppre-ssed and ignored. Time has come that we, the women should realize that this age long bondage has to be removed and in this new emerging society…… wo-men too has to emerge as a force to reckon with," they maintained. They maintained that women should not expect a radical and overnight change. "The change would be gradual and slow and we have to strive harder and longer to achieve what we aspire," they said. Both the educationists said, "Today's woman is strong, aware and self reliant. We greet all women across the globe for better tomorrow."
