| Samooh Theatre stages ‘Prshanchinh’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 8: The first ever play based on the misfortune of “Eunuch” was staged here today at Environment High School Jammu.
In the world of complete human society i.e male and female, the third sex try to search the self identity but the prevailing set up of the conditioning society does not accept this identity. As a result, this “Eunuch” left no option to join the society of the same.
The story of the play depicted the tragedy of “Eunuch” who searches his/her identity and the circumstances do not allow him to live with dignity and grace in the society of so called human.
The movement when he/she born the father becomes unhappy and grief as the baby is neither male nor female but in the contrary, the mother brought her or his up with love and affection.
The mother does not show her identity to others and she disclose her identity as girl in view of her mannerism. The girl has not to be remain as child and when she grow older she was snatched by the third sex’s group and ultimately reaches her destiny. She earn her livelihood by dancing as she adapted the profession of “Eunuch”, one day the head of “Eunuch” is died who used to love her a lot.
This incident gives a new turn to her life as she walk away and becomes a beggar. Before that she does a job as an servant in the metropolitan the family gets emotionally attached to her. She gets anxious that if they know her identity they will be very grief and shocked, hence, she decided to run away.
As she could not remain in the same and ultimately she reach in Haridwar where she meet her mother who had come there regarding some ritual ceremony of her grandson. Mother does not recognized her as she is same child to whom she had given to birth, but the “Eunuch” recognized her as mother on the contrary the mother deliberately does not recognized her as her own child and ask her to dance for the ritual ceremony of her grandson and “Eunuch” tells her till now I have dance for others but today I will only dance for You my mother.
On the occasion, Usha Anand principal Environment High School was the chief Guest whereas Alka Saraf presided over.
The role of “Eunuch” was portraoid by Manoj Bhat with a very intensify manner and left the audience spellbound. The Music of the play was designed by Sunil Sharma. The Make-up and Costumes by Dr.Kamal Sharma and Zareen Mahajan respectively Daya Ram Day was the assistant and the play was directed by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan
The other who participated in the play included Shaleen, Parshotam Sharma,Roopali, Suresh,Vinod Kumar and Ravinder,Garu Ram,Sheetal and Raj Kumar
