| Jammu lady felicitated in MP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 8: A prominent social worker and educationist Rekha Sharma felicitated by Sangani Group Madhya Pradesh today for her contribution in boosting nationalism in terror affected areas of districts of Rajouri and Poonch. Founder member of Swami Premanand Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Dangri, an institution which was started with the help of intellectuals having nationalist approach for poor and backward children, Rekha Sharma dedicated herself for this holly cause and started the institution in April 2000. It was the period when terrorism was at high peek in Rajouri and Poonch. Many of the government schools closed by virtue of terrorism. It was very difficult for government and private institutions to hold morning assembly having national anthem and Bharat Mata Ki Jai. It was the efforts of Rekha Sharma that not only national anthem and national song was also being sung in some of the private as well as government institutions. She started the celebrating Independence Day, Republic Day and National Youth Day in the hilly and terror affected areas of Rajouri Poonch. Sangani Group felicitated 20 women social workers across the country along with Rekha on women’s day.
