| NSUI leader visits Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 8: National Student Union of India (NSUI) state vice president, Nitish Mahajan conducted two days long tour of border district of Poonch to assess the problems being faced by the students' community. During the tour, Mahajan observed that students of the far-flung areas in Poonch were facing lot of hardships due to lack of infrastructure, lack of books in Library, shortage of staff and zero provision for other activities in the schools and colleges. Mahajan visited Government Higher Secondary School Mender, Government Higher Secondary School Surronkot on March 7 and had a interaction session with students of Government Degree College Poonch and students from Gujjar and Bakerwal hostel. He, however, claimed that the NSUI under the guidance of its in-charge Rahul Gandhi & national president Hibi Hidden is trying its best to meet the students' aspirations. To another question, he informed that the NSUI is exerting pressure on the State govt. to create more infrastructure, hostels and other welfare measures for well being of Student Community. On the last day of his tour, Nitish Mahajan was facilitated by students from different colleges of Poonch district at Krishan Chand Park Poonch.
