| PCC, Junior Khalsa win ties in Rajiv Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Mar 8: Parveen Cricket Club (PCC) and Junior Khalsa Cricket Club (JKCC) today won their respective matches to advance into the next round of ongoing Ist Rajeev Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at MA Stadium, here. In the first match of the day, PCC defeated ICC by a big margin of 40 runs. Earlier, batting first, PCC set a target of 138 runs for the loss of five wickets. Parveen was top scorer with a brilliant knock of 66-ball 85 runs including 13 boundaries while Ripu Daman and Ajitpal Singh contributed 16 and 10 runs respectively. From ICC, Mehran bagged two wickets, followed by Majid and Vikram, who shared a piece each. Batting second, ICC bowled out for 97 runs. Opener, Govial remained the top scorer with 23 runs while Akshay and Devi Dayal contributed 16 and 14 runs respectively. Mehran also added 14 runs and Ishan 12. Parveen was most successful bowler with three wickets while Ravi and Narotam took two each. For his superb all round performance, Parveen was adjudged man of the match. In the second match, JKCC trounced United Cricket Club (UCC) by a margin of 21 runs. Batting first, JKCC made 130 runs losing all their wickets, which, in reply, UCC could not chase when whole side bowled out for 111 runs. Today's matches were officiated by Rajesh Dhara and Sanjay Raina as umpires while Gatam Verma and B B Verma were scorers.
