EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 8: Director General Accounts and Treasuries, Wali Moham-mad Bhat received the Rashtriya Gaurav Award at a function at New Delhi by India International Friendship Society, for his meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role. Bhat, known in literary circles by Aseer Kishtwari, is an imminent poet, writer, critic and historian. The award was presented to him by Dr. Bishma Naraian Singh, former Union Minister and Governor. H.P Sangyana, Vice Chairman Minorities Com-mission of India, G.V.G. Krishnamurti, former Chief Election Comm-issioner of India and Joginder Singh, former Director, CBI were also present on the occassion. It is pertinent to mention here that Aseer Kishtwari has been contributing towards Urdu, English and Kashmiri Literature for last 35 years. He has so far published about a dozen books which include Tasveer-e-Zila Doda, Zila-Doda-Ki-Adabi, Focus on J&K, Change-Reah, Pathwan-Sada, Dag-Dag-Dil, Anjuman Urdu Magazine, Puse-Ufaq, Khazeena-ye-Noor, Raaz-o-Niaz, Tareekh-i-Isha'at-e-Islam, Farash-e-Gul, Nishat Kishtwar Monograph etc. Aseer has also received Gandhi Peace Award, Rasa Javedani Literary Award, Vitasta Award, Urdu Award and Best Book Award of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, 2007(for Focus on Jammu & Kashmir). He is also the President of Jammu and Kashmir Urdu Forum, General Secretary, Rasa-Javadani Memorial Literary Society Jammu, Press and Finance Secretary, Koushur Markazi-Adabi forum Jammu, Founder Member of Cahallant Cultural Forum Kishtwar and Faridia Bazam-e-Adab, Doda.
