| Refresher course concluded at Jammu University | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 8: A week-long refresher course in modern Indian languages organized by the Department of Urdu, University of Jammu in collaboration with academic staff colleges concluded here in Gian Chand Jain seminar hall of Urdu department today. In this connection valedictory function was held which was presided over by Prof Ali Javed of Delhi University and director NCPUL. Near about 20 colleges and university teachers with in and out the state attended this course. Prof. Ali Javed in his presidential address threw light on the aims and objectives of the refresher course and described it a useful for teachers as it updates the teaching methodology. It also provided latest information's regarding teaching, learning and refresher methodology. Prof. Ali Javed lauded the role of urdu department for organizing a meaning ful refresher course. In his welcome address Prof. IV Mallan, director academic staff colleges thanked the HOD urdu and his team for organizing the course in a befitting manner. He also described these types of courses meaning full for university and college teachers. Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik HOD Urdu and course co-ordinator informed that various luminaries of languages were invited to deliver lecture to the participants. A lively question answer session was also held during the course where participants interacted with the experts besides a state level urdu mushaira was also organized. The proceeding of the program was conducted by Prof. MA Wani while Ranjeet Kalra presented a vote of thanks. Earlier certificates were distributed to the participants by Prof. Ali Javed of Delhi University. |
