New Delhi: The government today said the prices of sugar and pulses have declined, while rates of other essential items like wheat and edible oils have remained steady during the week ending March 3 in most parts of the country.
"Sugar prices have declined in Delhi, Jammu, Dehradun, Mumbai, Ah-medabad, Raipur, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar and Chennai," an official statement said today.
Among pulses, the prices of tur dal dipped in cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, and Hyderabad, while gram, urad and masoor dal remained steady in a few cities, it said.
Similarly, the prices of wheat, edible oil, vanaspati and vegetables such as potato and onion were steady in most places during the review period, it added.
