| NC leader visits Bani areas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 9: National Conference provincial secretary and former Deputy Speaker State Legislative Assembly Ghulam Hyder Malik toured extensively Bani Assembly Constituency and took stock of developmental activities and people's problems. Malik stressed upon the administration to review the existing essential commodities supply position and provide additional supplies of food grains, flour and sugar to the needy areas of the constituency. He hailed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his concerted efforts for resolution of people's day to day problems and also for constituting the State Commission to peep into the hardships faced by common people especially living in hilly areas of the target areas. Malik highlighted need for creation of a new developmental block for seven Panchayats namely Sadrotta, Bhatodi, Batwal, Guduflal, Dhanu Parol, Pahri with headquarters at Dugian Gali. The Block would cater to the needs of huge population isolated from other areas and live a miserable life. He also felt need for creating three more Niabats in Tehsil Bani at Lowan, Sitti Fattapur and Siara Mandal. He also demanded creation of one more Tehsil in the constituency with headquarters at Kiloran Machedi and creation of Niabats at Lohai Malhar, Machedi and Dugian Gali. Later he held a meeting with Mushtaq Ahmad Ganai, Chairman State Administrative Unit Committee at Jammu and handed over a charter of demands to him.
