| Women Reservation Bill a success of democracy: NGO | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 10: Nav Yug Women Liberation, NGO working in the state for women empowerment has extended gratitude to the UPA Chairperson, Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister, Dr. ManMohan Singh for their courageous step to bring and pass the long-pending women reservation bill in the Rajya Sabha. The Nav Yug Women Liberation also congratulates all women of the Country and feels that the time has come for women to take a lead. In a thanks letter addressed to both the leaders, the NGO president Smt. Sneh Lata has congratulated and appreciated the UPA government for taking the historic step. "Despite all the hurdles, within and outside the UPA partners, you have shown the women of the country that they must not loose hope, though it's just one step but we are confident that this government has the will and it will be able to get the bill passed by the Lok Sabha and then state assemblies. The credit for the win of the women reservation bill in the Rajya Sabha obviously goes to deep-rooted democracy of the country", the letter reads. Smt. Sneh Lata, President, Nav Yug Women Liberation in a separate letter even thanked leader of the principal opposition party for their kind support in allowing the bill to be passed in the voting.
