| Farmer's training prog held | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 10: A farmers Training Programme on "Cultivation of underutilized medicinal tree species" was organized at village Raya by the Division of Agro Forestry of SKUAST Jammu under Horticulture Technology Mission. Prof. M. Ghulam, Dr. K.K. Sood and Dr. L.M. Gupta from Agroforestry Division of SKUAST, Jammu and local social workers of village Raya Balbir Singh, Daljeet Singh, Narinder Singh and others were present on the occasion.
Prof. M. Saleem and Dr. K.K. Sood emphasized the need to cultivate under utlized tree species like Bahera, Harad, Kronda, Reetha, Bael etc for improving the livelihoods of the kandi farmers. Farmers were also provided free of cost seedlings of improved selections of Karonda.
