| JBA to constitute grievances cell | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 11: Jammu Bachao Andolan (JBA) has decided to constitute public grievances cell to persuade the concerned authorities at all levels for redressal of the problems and complaints of general masses belonging to Jammu region.
The decision was taken in a working committee meeting of JBA held recently.
In the meeting, the members said that the public grievances and complaints redressal mechanism of the government lacks credibility inspite of repeated announcements and directions by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, which has prompted JBA to come to the rescue of those citizens who are facing ‘injustice’ and ‘victimization’ at the hands of those at the helm of affairs.
The decision to set up public grievances’ cell is aimed at to plug loop holes, which are eating away the major developmental and social welfare budgetary allocations as the administrative officers are adopting the means of corrupt practices.
The organization will also provide complaint registration mechanism and persuade the same before the appropriate authorities including various Commissions, SVO, CBI, and Crime Branch besides approach to the courts on different levels.
This has been done in wake of the prevailing resentment and frustration among those who are suffering either because of administrative inaction or adoption of method of corruption.
