| Ambedkar a social reformer, political mentor : BSP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 11: Bahujan Samaj has described Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar as social reformer and political mentor who drafted Indian constitution wherein fundamental rights of weaker sections religious minorities were safe guarded.
This was stated by vice president of Bahujan Samaj Party RL Chargotra during discussion at an intellectuals meeting held here today at Sarwal Colony.
Chargotra apprised the gathering that though Dr Ambedkar belonged to Scheduled Caste community, pleaded equality for all, right to cast vote without caste, creed & financial status of voter which was enshrined in the constitution .
Dr Ambedkar wrote many valuable books through out his life regarding upliftment of down trodden people of this country and caste system, he added. Chargotra requested & advised all members of backward classes to refrain from the evil design of those forces of power who try to create wedge among community members. He advised in the meeting about the coming urban/rural body elections to nominate & support candidature who think lot about Bahujan Samaj.
