Deputy CM holds Public Darbar at Gigrial

JAMMU, Mar11: To listen to the grievances of the people and solve their problems at their doorsteps, the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand today visited border areas of his constituency and held an open Darbar at Gigrial, 60 kilometres from here.The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by a team of high level officers, including Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, District Development Commissioner, Jammu, M.K. Diwedi, SDM Akhnoor, Ashok Sharma and other Tehsil and Block level officers of Akhnoor.The people putforth various problems and demands, which included payment for tractorization of demined land, land compensation, adequate supply of food grains, irrigation facilities and power supply, particularly in drought hit upper belts of border area.
