A baseless campaign started by some unscrupulous people against the officials of JDA (Jammu Development Authority), was witnessed a few days back in which slogans were raised against an honest and dedicated public servant. In the protest demonstration, it was alleged that Director Land Management JDA, Abdul Rashid is involved in several cases of corruption while sitting on an important position. It was also alleged that he minted huge sum of money in the form of bribe for biased land regularization
When Early times reporter enquired into the whole matter, it was found that no such thing exists in reality. The track record of Abdul Rashid is so far absolutely clear and he is trying to deliver his best.
In this process, some people who wanted to regularize illegal piece of land got annoyed at the transparency maintained by the said official in his working and started a malicious campaign against him.
According to an official of the department the process of land regularization is not so simple as it requires proper documentisation that’s why those who failed to complete the required documents started raising hue and cry over the functioning of the department with out any concrete logic or evidence.
Secondly, the charges of corruption further loose ground as the said official is on the leave for the past few couple of weeks and is not in touch with the functioning of the department. Therefore the allegations of corruption leveled against the said official seem to be fake and illogical.
