| Enrolment for UID number to start by yr-end: Nilekani | | | Indore: The enrolment process for allotting Unique Identification (UID) number to all citizens would begin by the end of this year, Unique Identification Authority Chairman Nandan Nilekani said today.
"If everything goes as planned, then the enrolment process for allotting UID number to all citizens of the country would begin by the end of this year," Nilekani said during an interaction with the students of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore. The pilot project for the scheme would begin in next few months, he said. |
