'DIG's daughter's suicide case'
Court grants bail to Dr Himanshu

JAMMU, Mar 12: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu BL Bhat today granted bail to Dr Himanshu, who was allegedly involved in abetment to suicide by Dr Aparna daughter of DIG Kamal Saini. Aparna had committed suicide on December 22, 2009.
Principal Sessions Judge Jammu BL Bhat after hearing Advocate PN Raina appeared for the petitioner doctor whereas Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi appeared as Special PP for the state observed that in the considered opinion of the Court warrants grant of bail, further more the investigation having been closed and further custodial interrogation of the petitioner not being warranted grant of bail cannot be denied.
With these observations Court granted the bail to alleged accused and directed him to furnish surety bonds of Rs 50000 subject to conditions that petitioner shall keep off the prosecution witnesses besides the appellant was directed not try to contact them in any manner whatsoever.
The petitioner shall surrender his passport and he shall not leave the limit of the court without prior permission of the Court. (JNF)
