| CSD demands judicial probe | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 12: District Congress Seva Dal (CSD)has demanded a high level judicial probe into the huge irregularities indulged in by the erstwhile Finance Ministers of PDP. Addressing media persons here today, District Seva Dal Chief Yashpal Manhas while referring to the recent disclosures made by Omar Abdullah on the floor of the assembly regarding the disappearance of Rs 2004 crore during the tenure of PDP rule, demanded an inquiry into the matter. Launching an attack on the misuse of Central Funds by the previous coalition, Manhas recalled the visit of senior leaders of PDP including Muzafar Hussain Baig and Mehbooba Mufti to different European countries (including Switzerland) on the false pretext of inviting tourists from there and alleged that the funds received by the Finance Ministers of PDP might have been stashed in Swiss Banks, which have already earned the notoriety of providing safe havens to corrupt Ministers for siphoning off public money and not being amenable to any law enforcing agency. Manhas strongly appealed the Chief Minister to appoint a Judicial Commission for unearthing the huge scams of public money and expressed surprise over the inaction of the state as well as central governments.
