| BMS criticizes PDD’s move | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 12: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Jammu and Kashmir has criticized the PDD for its propsed move to increase the power Tarrif rates. BMS alleged that proposed tariff hike is unwanted as PDD can increase its desired revenue even in the present existing tariff rates by mobilizing its rank and files but due to inefficient management and system of recovery of revenue, it is way short of the mark. The PDD want to increase its revenue only from the existing consumers without making any effort to add those who are not paying rentals which is wrong and unjustified moreover if tariff rate of industry will be increased it will put additional financial burden on industry and with the result employment of thousands of workers will be in danger as industry is already facing number of problems. BMS appeal to J&K State Electricity Regulation Co-mmission not to allow the tariff hike and instead PDD should be asked to make its officials accountable for losses and pilferages.
