| Residents stage protest against PHE | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Mar 12: The residents of Ward Number 1 located on College Road staged a protest by blocking the main Kathua-Kalibari Road for more than two hours against the failure of the Public Health Engine-ering (PHE) department to provide water for the last two months. Protesting residents expressed their displeasure over the attitude of the department concerned and said that though their locality is situated in the heart of the city water supply to their homes is erratic.The alleged that the inhabitants of Ward number 1 are suffering due to the scarcity of water.
Irate residents further said that the prospective nominees of different political outfits for the forthcoming municipal elections do not expect voting in their favour if smooth water supply is not ensured within two days. |
