Early Times Report JAMMU: Achieving a major success in the ongoing anti-militancy operations in the state, security forces today busted a hideout of the banned pan-Islamic Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit, comprising three underground living rooms and a kitchen, in Pathimallah Palmar forests. A huge quantity of arms and ammunition, besides ration and items of daily use, were recovered from there. Police sources said while making searches in Pathimallah Palmar forests, police and army troops came across a LeT hideout in the morning. The hideout comprised three small living rooms and a kitchen. Having a very inconspicuous entry, it belonged to LeT's self-styled district commander Saifullah, the sources added. Its search led them to the recovery of 10 AK rounds, six gelatin sticks, two Chinese grenades, three UBGL grenades, four detonators, one mobile charger, one torch with cells, two blankets, 20 litres of kerosene oil, utensils, ration, waters cans, clothes and a large quantity of other household items. The hideout was later destroyed by the troops. Another militant hideout was busted by security forces in the Gari forests of Ramban. One empty ammunition box, 31 pika rounds and 28 empty AK cartridges were recovered from there. This hideout was also smashed by the troops. |
