| Declare Chenani as heritage city: JKNPP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 13: A convention of JKNPP was held in the historic mini city of Chenani in Udhampur district today. Hundreds of Panthers Party activists congratulated Panthers Party chief, Prof. Bhim Singh for accomplishing 50 years battling for justice from the streets to the Supreme Court. Accompanied by Bharat Bhushan Kotwal, Vice Chairman and Shri Faqir Nath, Ex-MLA and Provincial President, the Panthers Party Supremo arrived in Chenani at noon from Kishtwar. Hundreds of Panthers Party workers received the Party leaders amid beating of drums and slogans supporting the call for 'Samul Kranti' to ensure delivery of justice to every person. Addressing the convention, Prof. Bhim Singh reminded the historians about the ancient history of Chenani which dates back to era of Mahabharata. 54 generations without break ruled Chenani since the battle of Mahabharata. Prof. Bhim Singh appealed to the youth and party workers to start teaching the adults and to 100% literarcy in a year. Bharat Bhushan Kotwal, Vice Chairman, NPP appealed to the people, particularly the youth to join the Panthers Party which he said was the only political movement in the J&K with agenda of peace, justice and equity for all. Shri Faqir Nath, Ex-MLA, Chenani expressed his gratitude for the support he gave to him during the election. Rajender Katoch was also declared as the Block President, Chenani with a committee of 21 members. Others who addressed the meeting included M/s. Ajaj Ahmed, District Vice President, Padam Dev Singh, Secretary-Trade Union. |
