In the first match he defeated GL Sharma in straight sets of 21-10, 21-7 and later registered a straight set victory over Shabir Malik, SP. TABLE TENNIS: Parvaiz Mirza (SSP) excelled winning against equally good opponent Zakir Hussain, SP.
