395 ISM doctors, 317 Dawasaaz engaged ending 2010

JAMMU, Mar 13: No assurance has been given by the government to Indian System of Medicine (ISM) doctors of the state to absorb them under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). This was infor-med by Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma in reply to clubbed Calling Atten-tion Notice of Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy and Altaf Ahmad Wani in Legislative Council today.
Sham Lal, however said that in pursuance of the strategy to mainstream Ayurv-edic Yuga Unani Sidha Homeopathic (AYU-SH) to revitalize local health traditions, 395 ISM doctors and 317 Dawasaaz have been engaged on contractual basis in the state ending January 2010 under NRHM.
