| 21 held while using mobiles for copying | | | JAMMU: A cellphone demerit, which went neglected in the previous at least three exams of higher secondary part II, did not go unnoticed today when police caught 21 students while using mobile phones for copying in an examination centre here. All the students, who were caught, had hidden cellphones inside their turbans for the alleged purpose of using them for copying, police sources said.Sources said someone from outside the examination centre was reading for them the answers of the examination questions. Acting on a tip-off, a police party, led by DSP MS Gill and Miran Sahib police station SHO, Sub-Inspector Paramjit Singh, raided examination centre No 254 at the New Gandhi Memorial B.Ed. College, Kullian, and recovered cellphones from 21 students.The seized cellphones were being used by them for copying, the sources added. A case in this connection stands registered at the Miran Sahib police station.
