| Heritage School's KG wing celebrates annual day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 14: The Kindergarten (KG) wing of Heritage School, Jammu, celebrated its annual day on the theme'Glimpses of Indian Culture' here today at Abhinav Theatre with lot of verve exhibits and exuberance. The hall had been beautifully decorated with the photographs, art /craft exhibits prepared by the students. The function commenced with lighting of ceremonial lamp and recitation of 'Ganesh Vandana' followed by the welcome speech by Coordinator Kindergarten Wing, Ranjana Jamwal. The highlight of the programme was the dance drama which depicted the culture and tradition of various states of India. The dance drama also highlighted the underlying similarity in our beliefs and ethos despite the apparent diversity. Children also gave the message to the audience to spread the sunshine of peace and harmony. The toddlers mesmerized everyone with their excellent performance. The students who had excelled in both academics and co-curricular activities were awarded with All Rounder's Trophy. Director School Education, Jammu, Zaheeda Parveen Khan, the Chief Guest, was highly impressed by the performance of the little ones and complimented the staff and management for their efforts in bringing out the best in the children. Anita Verma wife of Brig. VS Verma, Commander 36 Infantry Brigade,Guest of Honour also applauded the kids for their delightful display of cultures of various states of India. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Principal BN Sarkar.
