| Bhim seeks right of residence for POK, Gilgit migrants | | Reasi convention | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 14: President Panthers Party, Professor Bhim Singh today ventured in an area where main stream politicians usually fear to tread. Bhim sought "resolution of LOC" with the right of choice to residence for people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) and Gilgit. He also sought reorganization of Jammu Kashmir state to ensure equitable development, share in power and recruitment and settlement of all the migrants from POK, Kashmir and Jammu with honour and dignity. He was speaking at a convention in the historic town of Reasi today. Bhim urged the Panthers Party workers to launch a literacy campaign to0 eradicate illiteracy by 2011. "This is the real Samul Kranti which shall replace darkness by light and injustice by justice", he said. Balwant Singh Mankotia (MLA) while addressing the convention accused the government of discriminating against Jammu migrants. "I shall being a privilege motion against the concerned mi8nister for misleading the assembly", he threatened. Balwant announced the re-organized district Committee with Balwan Singh as District President, Padam Dev Singh as District General Secretary, M/s Murti Sharma and Mohammad Aslam as Secretaries. The Panthers Party advisor, Bansi Lal called on the people of Jammu province in particular to support the Pathers Party which, he said, was the only fearless voice of the people of the Jammu. He said that defeat of Union Home Minister in Pre-paid Mobile phone case in the Supreme Court had created history for which credit goes to Professor Bhim Singh. The convention chaired by District president, Balwan Singh passed a resolution urging the Union Government to fulfil the power requirement of Jammu Kashmir from Salal Hydel Project which is the right of the people of the state.
