| Coalition ushering an era of clean, ethical politics: Rana | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT NAGROTA, Mar 14: Political Advisor to Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana said that the National Conference- Congress coalition government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah has given a new political discourse to the state by starting an era of clean, ethical, value based politics. The NC leader further said that the forces who believe in politics of deceit and intrigue would meet their waterloo in the years to come. Rana who was addressing a public gathering at village Grand in Block Bhalwal of Nagrota assembly constituency, here today claimed the National Conference has always stood for secular values and would remain committed for socio-economic and political development of all the sections of the society. He said that the NC is not only a political party, but is a movement enshrined in the history of the state which has the vision backed by strong ideology to conceive a futuristic progressive plan for the development of the state and the state coalition government led by Omar Abdullah has the talent to execute such a plan. Rana said the coalition government led by Omar Abdullah is paying special attention to the development of villages and rural areas and in this connection extensive development works in all the sectors have been launched while as many more are in pipe line. He urged the people to maintain the age old amity and brotherhood and nurture secular ethos of the Jammu and Kashmir state. He called upon the people to actually involve themselves in the development process and monitor the works so that schemes are completed in the targeted period. Addressing the gathering, Choudhary Arshad, Provincial President NC, Jammu province appealed the people to strengthen the party at all levels so that state marched a head on road to progress under the leadership of Omar Abdullah. On the occasion some prominent persons from the area resigned from PDP and joined National Conference alongwith their supporters. Those who joined the party on the occasion along with their supporters included Chowdhary Sardar Ali, Qari Ghulam Rasool, Choudhary Ghulam Mustafa, Mohammad Yousuf, Barkat Ali and others. Rana welcomed the new entrants into the party fold and said that doors of the party are always open for all those who believe in the programme and policies of the party and have faith in its leadership.
