| 10KG RDX, UBG launchers recovered | | Explosive haul unearthed at Nud,Samba | |
JAMMU OCT-12-Police today unearthed an explosive haul from Manser forest area near Nud in Samba during its day- long search operations in the area.
Acting on a tip off, a party of Samba Sub Division Police headed by DSP Aabrar Chowdhary and SHO Inspector Varinder Singh incharge Police Post Rakh-Amb, SI Arun Sharma, under the close supervision of SSP Border Rajinder Gupta conducted a search operation in Mansar forest area near Nud and recovered a dump of explosives and ammunition containing 10 Kg RDX packed in aluminum containers and wrapped in paraffin papers and three Under Barrel Grenade Launchers.
The search party recovered the explosive with the help of sniffer dogs and the operation continued for over four hours. The explosive were recovered from a small cave at the base of a ridge in the thick forests.
