POONCH, Mar 16: MLA Poonch Aijaz Jan today distributed appointment orders under Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) scheme in a function organized by Education Department at Mandi.
While handing over appointment orders, Aijaz Jan congratulated the new entrants for joining teaching community, the biggest family in the country.
He advised them to understand the importance of being good teachers adding that they should not undermine their importance just because of getting less remuneration.
MLA termed ReT's as more of a service than job and declared that state shall remain indebted to their selfless service for years to come.
He wished them all the best in their future endeavours in bringing this district out of the darkness of illiteracy.
Jan hoped that with the implementation of this scheme in the district, the literacy rate in the rural and far off places will certainly improve.
Later on he also conducted a tour of the town and adjoining areas to assess the on going developmental works.
Jan inspected the under construction bridges at Kullani and Jallian and also the under construction building of PWD Dak Bungalow at Mandi.
