| NSF row over govt move on banning inter-distt recruitments | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 17: National Secular Forum today opposed the proposed move the state Government to ban Inter-District recruitment which they termed is politically motivated. Addressing a press conference here today, National Secular Forum President Vikas Sharma said that the Government needs to explain rationale to ban this process. Those sitting at the helm of affairs must tell that how Inter-District Recruitment process which was started by the previous Government was proving out to be dangerous and also what prompted the Government to think about such a move. ``Why the Government is worried about this process when there are already many other burning issues,'' he questioned . It is to mention here that Jammu candidates, particularly those belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories have been benefited from the Inter-District Recruitment process. Further, these candidates are working with more dedication and zeal than their Kashmir counterparts and putting efforts in educating the Kashmiri students. Even the people of Kashmir have no problem with the same then why Mr Abdul Rahim Rather is drafting proposal to ban the same. It is to mention that on most of the occasions, J&K Public Service Commission gave unfair deal to Jammu candidates by keeping their number in the final selection much below the 10 per cent level. Had Government been serious on the right of Jammu youth it should have asked the PSC to refrain from such things. Meanwhile, the Forum threatened to fight tooth and nail for the cause of all the youth irrespective of their caste, creed or other considerations, and warns Government against banning the Inter-District Recrui-tment process. Among those who present in the press conference included, Rohit sharma,Hari dass, Inderpal Singh Vikram Singh, Sanjay Sharma, and Pawan.
