In Continuing with its literary activities Adbi Kunj, held literary cum poetic meet which was presided over by a well known Punjab and Urdu poet from Baramulla, Kashmir S.Joginder Singh Pandhi.
President Adbi Kunj Sham Talib on the occasion thanked the participants for complimenting him and two other members of Adbi Kunj namely Shah Nawaz and Parvez Manoos for being given Lala Jagat Narain Award 2006-2007.
Besides participants congratulated Ayodhaya Rani Gamkhwar on the wedding of her son. Tributes were paid to the wife of Com. Jaswant Singh, Chief Organizer, Adbi Kunj on her Chaubarsi.
In the meet Muni Lal Puri read out an Urdu write-up tilted “Sood Aur Sood Khori” pointing to the menace of extracting money from the poor by the money lenders in the name of interest earning.
The prominent poets who recited their ghazals and poems included Talib Kashmiri, Nargis Sitara, Joginder Singh Pandhi, Muni Lal Puri, Daya Ram Daya, Ayodhya Rani Gamkhwar and Sham Talib.
