| Owners to get all dues for land acquired for Lakhanpur Toll Plaza: Bhalla | | |

JAMMU, Mar 19: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla assured the House that all pending dues would be paid at the time of final award, to the owners of the land acquired for construction of Toll Plaza at Lakhanpur, The Minister was replying to the supplimentaries on a question by Jagdesh Raj Sapolia. The Minister also gave detailed account of the land acquired for the purpose and said that 80% compensation has already been paid to the private land owners. Charanjeet Singh also raised supplimentaries on the main question. Replying to another question by Nazir Ahmed Gurezi regarding the recommendations of giving Tehsil status to Tulail and Naibat to Bagtore in Gurez, the Minister reiterated that the demands of creation of new administrative units would be considered only after the committee constituted to look into such demands submits its report.
Replying to a question of Muzaffar Hussain Baig raised by Nizam-u-Din Bhat in his absence, Minister of State for Power, Shabir Ahmed Khan told the House that provision of rehabilitation of the people displaced following construction of power projects forms part of the Detailed Project Report prepared before taking up such projects. He said similar procedure was followed at the time of acquisition of the land for the construction of Uri and Doolhasti projects.
