| PYS orgainses weeklong Theatre workshop | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 20: Progressive Youth Society ( PYS) today started weeklong children Theatre Workshop in the premises of Model High School Rajpura, Jammu in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Akademi New Delhi
Renowned theatre personality . Balwant Thakur (Director Natrang Jammu) was the Chief Guest whereas Prof. Ajeet Angral (Principal Degree College Samba) was the guest of honour. . Devbrat Shastri, Principal of the school presided over the function. President Progressive Youth Society Manoj Nishchint, presented welcome address. About twenty students of the school will participate in this workshop and will be trained under the supervision of Sumit Sharma ofNatrang.
In his valuable address, . Balwant Thakur emphasized on the students to learn the techniques of drama with full dedication and interest so that the aim of workshop is fulfilled. He hoped that the outcome of workshop will be excellent through trained faculty like Sumit Sharma alongwith appreciation of Progressive Youth Society for providing such opportunity to students. He cited many examples of America in which drama has played its role. . Balwant Thakur also asked . Sumit and . Manoj Nishchint to present the trainee students in the studio of Natrang where media will also be invited alongwith other people. Prof. Ajeet Angral in his speech appreciated the work of . Balwant Thakur in drama and stressed on the learners to take benefit of the available opportunity. He invited the students for picnic at Mansar via Samba.
