| Mushaira Cultural event held at Aghar Jitto | | | SARITA JAMWAL EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, Mar 20: To encourage the rural talent by giving them an opportunity to express their hidden talent, the District Information Centre, Udhampur in collaboration with Tehsil Information Centre, Reasi organized a Mushaira and Cultural Programme at Government High School Aghar Jitto about 6 kms from the holy town Katra yesterday. The Chief Education Officer, Reasi, Kushal Kumar Sharma was the chief guest while Head Mistress of Government High School, Aghar Jitto Shanti Devi presided and Principal Government Higher Secondary School, Katra, Harish Dubey and Zonal Educational Planning Officer, Reasi were the guest of honors on occasion. During the mushaira number of poets from various areas which include Katra, Panthal, Reasi and Panchari area recited their poems based on communal harmony, national patriotism and mutual brotherhood which were highly appreciated by the audience. Later a scintillating cultural programme was also organized in which Mohinder Kumar of Panchari, Neelam Gandotra of Jammu, Rakesh & Party from Manwal and cultural Assistant of the Information department Udhampur presented colorful cultural programme on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest K.K. Sharma and Head Mistress of the HS Aghar Jitto thanked the Information department for holding this programme in their school and requested for such more programmes at other areas also so that hidden talent in rural areas be encouraged.
