| Governor, CM greet people on Nauroz | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 20: Governor, N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Nauroz. In a message, the Governor said that the festival has both cultural and religious significance. He said that the day is also observed as World Arbour Day, adding that all of us should join hands in planting more and more trees for preserving the environment. The Governor hoped that this auspicious day would be the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State. In his message, Chief Minister said that Nauroz-e-Alam besides having religious and other significance is also denoted as World Arbour Day and reminds us of our responsibility to protect and preserve environment and green wealth. Omar expressed the hope that the day will be harbinger of peace and development for the State and the country.
