| Sikhs in J&K demand measures to improve their lot | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 21 Accusing both the state government and the Centre of not taking note of their plight, Sikhs in Jammu and Kashmir today demanded immediate measures to improve their lot. "We are the only microscopic minority living in the valley after the unfortunate exit of the Kashmiri Pandits but regrettably neither the centre nor the state has taken notice of our pitiable conditions," All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) Coordinator Jagmohan Singh Raina told PTI. Demanding extension of benefits under state and centrally sponsored developmental schemes and job oriented programmes for the community, he said no government in the past had come up with any concrete policy for the development of Sikhs as in the case of Buddhists, Gujjars or Kashmiri Pandits.
