| Bridge over Balol Nallah soon: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 21: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla today said to provide road connectivity facilities to people of Bhour Camp, a bridge over Balol nallah would be completed shortly at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore. The Minister said this after laying the foundations of lanes and drains in the peripheral areas of Bhour camp, coming up at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh. Bhalla said that numerous developmental and welfare schemes are being implemented in every nook and corner of the State to improve the living standard of the people. He said that Government has approved Rs. 70 lakh mecadimisation of Bhour Camp-Bhour Kothey road, the work on which has been already started. The Minister said that Rs. 4 crore Multipurpose Community Halls are being constructed in his constituency to facilitate the people especially poor and weaker sections for celebrating religious and social functions. He said for the modernization of Landoi Choi nallah, a comprehensive proposal for Rs. 40 crore stands submitted to the Central Government for approval. He said for the promotion of Sports activities, a stadium is to be developed at Bhour Camp for which revenue authorities have already identified land which is being transferred to State Sports Council. He said as soon as land is transferred to the Sports authorities, construction work will start. At Jeevan Nagar, Rs. 7.50 lakh lanes and drains works were started in the presence of the Minister. Bhalla asked the executing agency to complete these works by April, 2010 for the benefit of locals. At Gorkha Nagar, Bhalla laid foundation stone of bathroom (Tootian) and upgradation of Cremation ground for which Rs. 55 lakh have been earmarked. He said that Rs. 28 lakh have already been spent by Jammu Development Authority for creating infrastructural facilities there besides Rs. 27 lakh have been approved for constructing of waiting shed, benches, platform, steps, retaining walls etc.
