In a press statement issued here today, Mohammad Latif Qureshi, president of Association, said that the Government should immediately convene a meeting of second round of talks with the employees in order to meet their in order to end the dilemma. "Since the employee belongs to working class and due to hike in the price index it has become difficult for them to meet their both ends. As already discussed in the first round of talks, the employees do not want to go for strike unless they are compelled or forced. The employees' fraternity hopes that all their just and genuine demands shall be fulfilled by the Government in toto," he maintained. Latif further appealed the State Government to immediately release the 8 per cent DA installment which was already been released in favour of Central Government employees and as per the commitment of the State Government, any hike in the shape of DA installment, is required to be released simultaneously by the State Government. "The DA installment is the interim relief measure for the government employees to compensate the hike in price of essential commodities and any delay on this account would further put the employees to trouble and miseries," he said.
