| NC's wrong policies will have cascading effects: Mehbooba | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 21: Expressing her concern over mounting problems of the common masses, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that the present dispensation headed by National Conference (NC) has lost its credibility due to its wrong policies. Addressing series of public meetings in different areas of Jammu city, Mehbooba Mufti, president PDP alleged that during the last 15 months, this regime has done nothing to solve basic problems of the common masses. She, however, said that instead of fulfilling the commitment, the government has been trying to hoodwink the people by raking up non serious issues. While pointing towards the shortage of ration, acute scarcity of water and power crises, she said that the State has been plunged into the unprecedented crises due to wrong policies being pursued by the NC led coalition. "15 months is long period of judge performance of the government", she observed and added that in that period problems of the people have further compounded due to apathetic attitude of the government. "People of State have lost faith on NC led regime as this government has done nothing on ground", she said, adding, "achievements of the governments confined only on papers as this regime is more particular about issuing press statements and conducting photo sessions to hoodwink the gullible people". Calling upon the people to teach a lesson to the NC in the coming local bodies' elections, she said that wrong policies of the government were responsible for woes of the people. Reminding the people about six year tenure of PDP-Congress government she said, "during that period neither scarcity of ration nor shortage of power or water emerged as bigger problems as has been erupted during the last 15 months in the State" "With same infrastructure at his command, Mufti Mohammad Sayed has set an example of good governance and protected interests of the common masses and created an atmosphere of mutual trust and faith" she said Party general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, former MLC, Daman Bhasin, Falail Singh, Vijay Dogra and other senior leaders addressed the meetings.
