| Vaishno Devi pilgrim attempts suicide | | | JAMMU:A Vaishno Devi pilgrim Sunday tried to end his life by slitting his throat at Adh-Kunwari temple en route to the holy cave shrine of the goddess.
Police sources said Vinay Kumar of Meerut made a bid to end his life by slitting his throat at the Adh-Kunwari temple. When some other pilgrims found him bleeding from the neck, theyraised an alarm. Cops from a nearby spot later reached the spot and evacuated him to Katra hospital.
As his condition showed no sign of improvement, he was referred to the GMC Hospital, Jammu, for advanced treatment. His condition was stated to be critical. Police had registered a case in this connection. |
