| Ex-MLC’s son “drowns” in Chenab | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 21: Ex-MLC and National Conference leader Brij Mohan's son today drowned in river Chenab at Kandni in Kishtwar under mysterious circumstances. Police sources said Brij Mohan, his son Sourab and other family members left Jammu this morning for Kishtwar in their car to have darshans of Sarthal Mata. However, when the family reached Kandni, few kilometres short of Kishtwar town, Sourab, a BCA student, expressed desire to attend call of nature, the sources added.
The car was then stopped. When Sourab came out of it, Brij's PSO followed him. Sources said the PSO soon came back running and told the family that Sourab had either jumped or fallen into the roadside Chenab. The news spread like wildfire and soon troops of 36 Rashtriya Rifles and police started searches for Sourab, but they could not find any clue to his whereabouts. The body had not been fished out from the river waters till late tonight, the sources added.
