| Pvt school teacher, 12-year-old held in alleged rape cases | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 21: A private school teacher and a 12-year-old boy were today arrested by police in alleged rape cases. Police sources said Jatin Kohli, a private school teacher and KAS aspirant, of Maheshpura was working as a teacher in Krishna Public School at Bakshi Nagar for the past some time. He, however, went on leave about a month ago to prepare for KAS exams. Sunaina (14) of Bakshi Nagar, who studied in 10th class in his school, went missing from home about three days back. Sources said Sunaina was found lying unconscious near Jatin's house at Maheshpura today. After the matter came to their notice, cops rushed to the spot and removed the girl to the GMC Hospital. When she regained senses, she allegedly told police that she had been kept illegally by her teacher in his house. Acting on the girl's statement, police raided Jatin's residence and arrested him. He was booked under sections 363 and 376 of RPC, the sources added. In another incident, a 12-year-old boy was arrested by police for allegedly outraging the modesty of a girl, who was an year younger to him, at Samote near Surankote in Poonch. Sources said Mohammad Rafiq (12) was held by police for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl, who lived in his neighbourhood. The girl's medical examination was conducted in local hospital. She was later restored to her parents. A case under FIR No 31 of 2010 was registered against Rafiq under sections 376 and 363 of RPC, the sources added.
