| Agri Graduates threatens fast unto death | | | Jammu, October 13 : Non-Gazetted Agriculture Graduate Association(NGAGA) has threatened to further intensify their protest and launch fast unto death in support of their demands soon after Durbar move offices are reopened here in Jammu on November 6.
Spokesperson of the association Kesar Durani told Kashmir Independent Press that if govt failed to fulfill their demands of filling vacant seats and change designation of Junior Agriculture assistant to Agriculture extension executive or Agriculture field officer besides other demands they would be left with no choice but to sit on fast un to death. NGAGA members said they are under continuous stress and are facing humiliation and pressure because of the reason that nothing has been done in their service conditions and meager promotions are awaited for them for the last 20 years and has virtually made them frustrated.Spokesperson of the association said that so many posts are lying vacant causing frustration and inefficiency in the cadre.
He said, they are demanding change in present service rules because they have crossed age limit for PSC and cannot be considered through direct recruitment procedure as already adopted through the service rule of June 1988. |
