'1105 people disappeared in J&K'

Jammu, Mar 23: The State Government today said that 1105 people have disappeared since 1989 across the state.
In a written reply in the state Assembly to the question by PDP MLA Abdul Haq Khan regarding the number of people who disappeared in the state and relief provided to the affected families, the government said, ''Since 1989, 1105 people are reported to have disappeared due to various reasons in the entire J&K."
It said ex-gratia relief in 530 cases has been provided to the affected families so far.
